Target Field Harmon Killabrew Event
For a number of years now AV for You has been proud to provide AV rental and support to the Harmon Killabrew Foundation event at first the Metrodome an then Target Field. For the 2011 event we provided rental of LED up-lighting, stage, pipe and drape, 2x 55″ LED monitors and 2x 46 LCD monitors on stands, ETC Source 4 lights for a stage wash, Video playback with scaling and switching.

The Knot event at the Golden Valley Country Club
Recently we had the pleasure to be a sponsor for the annual Knot event. Thanks to Hana at Mani-Mela and Kelly Brown Photography we had the opportunity to show everyone in the business a little more of what we can do, as well as some clever alternatives to common needs. I was happy to show off what we can do for lighting at this event, the purple LED uplighting added a whole new depth and temperature to the room, while the gobos hitting the ceiling added a completely different texture from an angle you wouldn’t suspect. Another demonstration we were able to show was what to do about projection. When a slide show needs to be played we like to substitute the projector for a flat screen TV, you get all the benefits of a large screen but without the worry of sunlight or people walking through the projection; a very handy way of handling a cramped space.
Calhoun Beach club Uplighting and PA system
We did a wedding at the Calhoun Beach Club. We did a PA system for the ceremony with 2 speakers, mixer and wireless microphone. We had a similar sound system in the dinner room. For the dance we did 28 total fixtures to create a room of color. The blue was main color theme. We lit the ceiling with 8 static LED lights mounted on schedule 40 pipe. The walls were done with 12 color changing uplights. These were DMX controlled to subtly change colors through out the evening from blue, to purple to pink. The effect was dramatic. We also did the windows on the back wall with 5 LED bricks and behind the band with 3 traditional par cans. www.AVforYou.com
Prom Center Wedding 2/19
Here’s another example of how a little bit of lighting can go a long way. For this event we set 4 floor mounted lights with gobos and our special ELED zoom lights around the perimeter. I programmed the lights to cycle colors every couple of minutes so that the color of the room was always changing.
Calhoun Beach Club lighting demo.
Earlier this week we had the opportunity to meet a lovely bride through Fete Perfection at the Calhoun Beach Club. We were happy to give her a demonstration of our tried and true methods of decor lighting, as well as showing off some items new to our inventory. Her vision was to have the Solarium room saturated with a light blue color, and we didn’t fail to impress. To accomplish this we used a combination of DMX controlled LED lights and battery powered LED uplights as well. The effect was spectacular; the bride commented on how it completely changed the atmosphere of the room. This is a wedding we are really looking forward to lighting, as well as providing sound equipment for the ceremony.
